Cryptic message when I change Wifi channel settings on my Orbi 850 router
When I log in through the web interface on my Orbi 850 router and try to change WiFi channel settings I get a popup saying: Per Wi-Fi Alliance guidelines for 40 Mhz and 20 Mhz coexistence, even...
On some routers, you can set the 2.4ghz to use 20 or 40hz channel widths.
the "up to ****mbps" is how netgear sets the 20/40hz channel width.
If you have coexistence enabled, its just saying even if you set it for the full 1200mbps, it'll set it down to the slower speed if there's other networks in the area as the point of coexistence is to prevent interference. It does it by reducing channel width.
