Devices keep going to 2.4ghz
Hi, I just purchased a AX3000 - RBK653S set. Unfortunately there is no way to "unbundle" the ssid for 2.4 and 5ghz from what I could tell. The Wifi signal is good wherever I go, but none (with the ex...

Correct. It is not possible to split the WiFi SSIDs. What sort of devices have connected at 2.4 when they should have connected at 5G?

I neglected to ask if there are devices which do connect to the 5G WiFi channel. It would be useful to determine if the problem is
- The system is not producing a 5G WiFi channel, or
- Certain devices connect to 5G and other devices do not.
One way to determine if there is a 5G channel is to use an application such as WiFi Info View by Nirsoft on one of the Lenovo laptops.
https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wifi_information_view.html
This will display all the 2.4G and 5G access points that have a strong enough signal for the laptop to detect. The WiFi SSID should appear on the same WiFi 2.4G channel for every Orbi unit (router and access points. If there are two satellites, there should be a total of three access points broadcasting the SSID on 2.4G) and also the same number of access points broadcasting the SSID on a 5G channel.
If the Lenovo laptop detects NO 5G access points at all (not even nearby neighbors), this may be due to a setting in the WiFi adapter which has turned off 5G.
