DNS Issue with RBK752

Just got a new RBK752 system. I use CleanBrowsing DNSs to filter for my family:

IPv4 Address185.228.168.168 and 185.228.169.168
IPv6 address2a0d:2a00:1:: and 2a0d:2a00:2::

What I'm seeing is that when just using IPv4, I get random DNS errors that immediately resolve themselves while web browsing. I noticed in nslookup that I see a 2 second timeout followed by a successful resolution. All using Windows 10.

I then kicked on IPv6 in the router and added the IPv6 CleanBrowsing DNS entries there also, and the problem seems to go away. I've tried using other filtering DNS systems (OpenDNS, for example), and I can't reproduce the issue there. Never had a problem with CleanBrowsing on my old R7800.

Thoughts? Thanks!

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded?
    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

    Do you still get DNS errors if you use default auto detected DNS?

      Netgear is firmware version V3.2.10.10_1.2.12.

      Cable modem is an Arris SB8200. I do not get errors when using the default ISP (Comcast) DNS that is auto detected

        Now what happens if you try Quad 1s and Quad 9s for DNS...?
