Fast speed on two computers (480Mbps) slow on all others, phoes, etc. (96Mbps). RBR850, RBS850
I just purchased an RBR850/RBS850 setup. Everything seems to work, but only two wired computers get fas 480Mbps speed, whil EVERYTHING else, computers, phones, tablets, etc. get slightly less than 10...
SOLVED! Apparently the slower speed was caused by a poor cable connection in one of our 110 punch down blocks. I am on oxygen, recuperating from Covid (low energy to solve problems or do much physically). I showed my wife how to use a punch down tool and she went up in the attic and "reasserted" all the punch down connections on the terminal strip. Before Orbi, I have seldom intermittant connections, but I did have the occasional issue. I think Orbi is more sensitive to cable/connection quality and downgraded a whole section of our network to 100Mbps. Anyway, all fixed now. Thanks for your help.

I can't find where to disable Armor or those other things you mentioned. My previous setup, with two Netgear routers, all computers could get 400+ Mbps with Speedtest. Orbi has been a huge downgrade so far. Most computers connected even by ethernet to the main router get 96Mbps.
You can disable Armor via the Orbi app and selecting the Armor tile there. There will be a disable option under this section.
There a model# of the cable modem?
What are these two computers? Brand and model?
What is the brand and model of the ethernet adapters in these PCs?
Ensure the drivers for these adapters are up to date.
Ensure good quality LAN cables are being use. CAT6 is recommended.
The two computers that get the fast speed were custom built ten years ago. All the computers on out network got 480Mbps before the Orbi upgrade. The computers that get the slow speeds are mostly much newer. All computer run Windows 10 21H1 and are constantly updated. I can connect ANY other compuet directly to the Orbi main router and it will get 96Mbps. That speed is very consistent. It's like the router ok'd thos two computers for 480Mbps and all others are bumped down to 100Mbps speed. What would cause that?
I don't have Armor, Traffic or any of the other opional stuff enabled. I never activated it. The speedtest in the Orbi app shows 482Mbps. How is Orbi bumping the speed down to 100Mbps on all the other devices, even thos plugged directly inot the main router? I have seen this issue mentioned lots of times here and elsewhere, but never a solution.
Cablemodem:
Ubee EU2251I got 480Mbps on all devices before Orbi upgrade. This was with the same modem a few weeks ago. The modem and Orbis have been rebooted numerous times. I could hook the old equipment back up and it would all work perfectly. What if the Orbi doing to slow everything down to almost exactly 100Mbps? That doesn't seem arbitrary or coincidental.
