Firmware update RBR750

Hi, I cannot update the firmware of RBR750 Orbi Router. The current version is V4.6.5.29_0.0.33 which does not have smart parental control. Moreover, automatic update does not work for the firmware...

Try manually updating FW. RBS first then RBR lastly:

I downloaded the firmware from the website for manual upgrade but the file extension is .chk while as per user manual, it should be .img.

Thanks. I downloaded the new firmware but it is .chk extension and the manual update does not consider it as the new firmware.

.chk is the file format that the RBS and RBR take. Be sure your using a web browser and selecting the .chk file thru the RBS or RBR manual FW update page. Be sure your using the RBS.chk file for the RBS and the RBR.chk file for the RBR.

Try using a different browser. MS Edge, Firefox or Opera all work.

  Thanks. I have the file RBR750-V4.6.9.11_2.3.5-signed.chk. I used both Safari and Chrome and I am getting the following error:
  Firmware upgrade failed. Please check your file.

As I said in my first response, what baffles me is that your current firmware does not seem to exist. Certainly not for the RBR750.

I went and checked as soon as I saw your post. (Evidence always beats boilerplate answers.)
