Force a device to connect to a satellite
I was experiencing the same issue…
NBR750 router and three RBS750 satellites (wired backhaul)
And 20 IoT devices prone to connect…only to the router, continuously migrating from the closest sate...

You can also turn down the power on the Orbi system as well to help steer devices to closer wifi signal points.
Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
- MPP55Oct 17, 2023GuideI have tried with no success…
I think that in my case leaving the 20/40 Mhz option checked caused the mesh system to change continuously frequence, due to the hugely crouded WiFi environment.
There are strong signals coming from the neighborood (I have mapped them).
The result is that, depending on the state of the closest interference, the system switches back and forth from 40 to 20 to 40 Mhz and many IoT devices don’t like it…
Forcing the system to keep the same frequence helps the IoT devices to stay connected to the same, closest source.
And yes, as someone says, I am giving the birdie to the neighbours. But they started it…

Sounds good. Have fun with the neighbors.
Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
