Getting RBS50Y work with RBRE960

Question

Just updated my house from Orbi RBR50 + 3x RBS50 to Orbi (6E) RBRE960 + 3x RBSE960. I am also trying to get my existing Orbi outdoor mesh extender RBS50Y work with the new router. My initial attempts failed: Unplug/plug RBS50Y, when booted hit SYNC on it, hit SYNC on the router, wait. Before I attempt to bring it inside with all the wet dirt on it, just wanted to make sure this is even possible. If not, is/will be there an outdoor extender solution for the 6E mesh?

it won't work in orbi mode.
It *might* if you switch it to extender mode.&nbsp;
