Hardwired Windows 10 PC will not have network connection coming out of sleep
I have a couple of PCs which are hardwired to the Orbi RBR750 (aka AX4200). Every time I wake the PC it will not have network connection for about 10 seconds. This is the message posted to the Window...

Thx CrimpOn and Furry. Fair enough that it may be PC. But seeing that 2 other routers I tried do not have this issue: is this possibly a configurable item in Orbi's design?
Its not a major problem, but annoying as every time I resume & log into a wired PC that pages/web functionality hangs for a short bit.
I'm going to try statically assigning an IP but no idea if this will help.

The only OS settings related to wired connections that I could find are in the local group policy editor: Admin Templates \ System \ Power Management \ Sleep Settings. I explicitly set "allow network connectivity during connected-standby (plugged in)" to Enable & rebooted. I also ensured NIC drivers are up-to-date. IP statically assigned. Problem still happens.
Plugged into my ASUS, sleep and wake: zero problems.
Additional suggestions welcome!

I can't explain why your wired network connection would behave differently during Sleep depending on whether it is wired to the Orbi or Asus router.
Here's one other Windows suggestion to try. In the ethernet adapter Properties, Configure, Power Management tab, uncheck "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save Power". It's similar to the suggestion here to do it for the Wi-Fi device, but it also works also for your Ethernet adapter: https://silicophilic.com/internet-disconnects-when-computer-sleeps/
