Once clarifying question. Should I just for that now, or next time it fails? Right now its working so I am hesitant to disrupt it.
One other note, I have noticed it ramping up and down when running speed tests too. Not sure if that is a factor of the speed test or not, but I have seen it across different testing sites. (Fast.com, ookla, etc)
One other note, this all seems to have started when I upgraded to iOS 17. No idea if that could be a factor? I have several homekit items, and ever since I upgraded to iOS17 (which had Homekit updates) I've had this issue. Ive sent several logs to apple support and haven't found anything yet, but throwing it out there.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Thank you so much. I will try this later today as I am working from home and don't want to disrupt it if I don't have to.
I am using the cable the Orbi came with, I think that should be sufficient correct? Happy to try another one.
ISP Modem Info:
- WOW! 1.0GBPS service
- Technicolor Model: CGA4234
- It is a couple years old, no issues other than the occasional reboot
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:
- I do have Private WiFi address enabled on my iPhone 15. But i have no issues accessing the app, or even using wifi with this since it operates on the 6ghz band. (the issue seems to be 2.4 and 5ghz related).

Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
Try option #2 first...
