What does the ISP say about not using the Archer?

This document appears to indicate that the Orbi router would be a direct substitute for the TP-Link router that was delivered:

Does your installation have an NBN Connection Box similar to the one in that document?

The important consideration is whether TPG is providing telephone service.
The Archer VR1600v provides a telephone jack so that house telephones can be connected to the network.
If you purchase telephone service from TPG, then the Archer VR1600v is required.
If they are not providing telephone service, then the Orbi can be plugged into the modem in place of the Archer.
