Good news! The firmware resolved my problems; it now works as it should in my house, even in my preferred daisy chain (R -> Sat1 -> Sat2) config! great coverage and performance and now without the reliability issue.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Hello, I suspect I'm experiencing the same problem. I had orbi 850s that worked fine but my 960s intermittently disconnect, especially if I have the network arranged in serial (router - sat 1 - sat 2) which is the ideal config for my home because to arrange in star formation would mean that I need to run hard-wire from cable modem across half the house to support the router rather than use it as a wired back-haul for the first satellite. I have worked with support including tier three for a month and even after manual firmware upgrades the problem persists. If anyone got to the bottom of this, I'd appreciate any insight. I will update if we find a fix if I'm able to keep toughing it out until resolved; I'm ready to throw in the towel and go to a different solution.
