I need to disable the 5 GHz band
I can't connect a 2.4 GHz device and need to login to my router, but I can't login. No option to reset password.

What router do you have?
Are you logging into it using the app?
Using the browser?
What error are you getting? or where are you finding issues?

RBK853, Bresser weather station.
I used a browser, but http://192.168.1.1 opens something from Zyxel, useless.
Everything I have is 5 GHz, but I need to temporarily disable the 5 GHz band to connect a 2.4 GHz only device.

What FW is loaded on the system?
v7 FW has the ability to setup a IoT network that you can use to get 2.4Ghz only devices connected.

If you're getting a zyzel address, then you're probably in a double nat.
You'll want to fix that as some IoT devices have issues with double nats.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There are 3 options, but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass-through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway wirelessly enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. The Wi-Fi/ethernet still works, but it disables some features.
