It's very relevant. We need to establish if the ISP modem/ONT has built in router and wifi. As these can and do cause problems. And from the model you have, it does have a bulit in router and wifi. Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.

Try option #2 first...
Does the front LED on the RBR turn on PINK or WHITE any when this problem appears for you and you have problems?

Once again.. I've *never* had any issues with this setup UNTIL I upgraded to *this specific* firmware. Again, the traffic over the LAN in no way involves the cable modem.
Does the front LED on the RBR turn on PINK or WHITE any when this problem appears for you and you have problems?
I already answered this. Other than the bootup sequence, the light stays off.
Additionally, ever since this firmware upgrade, all my video calls for work have started having significant issues (to a wired device, so it's not the wireless).
Given the responses so far however, I've little faith I'll get anything useful from this forum.
