What does the "master" mean? The RBR? Or the PC you are working on?
What do you see if two ethernet connected PC are connected directly being the RBR with out connecting to the switch?
What is the model# of this switch?
Two PCs connected behind the switch can not ping each others IP address?
What Windows version are you using?
Make sure your PCs are discoverable in Windows. There is networking profiles that may not allow that. Contact MS support about setting Public or Private networking profiles and enabling of discovery and sharing with Windows and getting Remote Desktop working correctly.
