Ugh - I have discovered that my ISP has a "Port Filtering" setting that is enabled by default.

"We network block inbound traffic (TCP/UDP) associated with the following ports."

With this disabled - I can finally use my authenticator app.

Grrrr so frustrating as the ISP never mentioned this!!

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Is the RBR using auto detected ISP DNS or custom DNS? You might try using some custom DNS like Cloudfare or Quad9. Something I noticed with Apple Beta updates I get, they won't download correctly if I use ISP DNS. They do when I change to custom DNS on my router.
