Model RBR750 Cannot connect a fan that requires a 2.4Ghz connection.
That's it. When I set up my Orbi router it automatically connected to all my Google devices - speakers, doorbell, thermostat but not to my fan. All the Google devices had been connected as 2.4Ghz dev...

A couple things.
1. its not the orbi that connects to the devices but the other way around. its the devices that connect to the orbi
2. Some older/poorly coded devices struggled with AX. You can try logging into the orbi and disabling AX on the 2.4ghz band and see if that'll help. (through the browser log in and click on wireless settings, uncheck enable 2.4ghz AX box)
3. before trying that though, try and get a phone/tablet connected to the 2.4ghz and try going through the setup on the fan. It shouldn't matter if you're connected to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz but when app makers do a poor job coding, it does. So if you're phone/tablet isn't on 2.4ghz, some devices won't setup. Sometimes it can be a challenge to get the phone to be on the 2.4ghz. What I've seen done is to shut off the satellites, turn down the transmit power on the 5ghz (under advanced tab-->advanced--->wireless settings--->set the transmit powr for 5ghz down as low as it goes). Then try walking a ways away from the orbi and disconnect/reconnect your phone. This gives you a better chance of connecting to the 2.4ghz. If you do, then try setup. Once the device is setup, you should be able to turn power backup, turn satellites back on, and have it back at base settings. Once its setup, usually it just auto-reconnects.
