if swapping the Power adapters around doesn't work and you've tried different outlets, i'd get the system boxed up and return it for another system.
Seems like if there turning off at the same time, possibe power problem with in your home too. Odd behavior for sure.

FURRYe38 tak1313 I just did another review, starting with the satellite.
Both router and satellite have been working fine all day since I rebooted the router this morning.
- The satellite was 'dead' again - the power light is on, but Orbi app can't detect the network from right next to the satellite.
- The router is also 'dead' , with the power light on. However, Orbi app is able to detect the network via 'local network' after a few tries.
Neither unit was showing any of the network strength colors e.g. blue/ magenta
My guess is the system is somehow going into 'sleep' mode when there is no activity.
Is ther any way to prevent that in the Orbi app settings?

FURRYe38 the router is on the same socket board as the modem, which is obviously working fine as evidenced by the Linksys router's behaviour with no power issues
The Satellite is on the Home theatre socket board, which is also working fine with no power issues.

Swap power adapters and see. Again, if there not remaining ON all the time, box it up and get another set.

tak1313 FURRYe38 Turns out the firmware update done via the Orbi app during installation screwed up the system, according to Netgear phone support.
Had to reinstall using a laptop - working fine for the past few days now. What a complete waste of time and effort!!
Just one more painful lesson learned about the very poorly designed installation routine on the Orbi app.😖
