Sorry for delay in getting back but been a very busy month.
My RBR and RBS firmware versions are all v6.0.3.85_3.1.15 I have turned off one of the RBS as it is superfluous to my requirements right now. So one RBS is connected via a TP-Link TL-SG108-M2 8-Port 2.5G switch using 2x15m Cat6 cables.
I seem to lose wifi connectivity whenever I move my windows laptops around the house, still have issues after upgrading one machine to win11 but less often. My samsung s22 ultra though has zero issues and even when laptop has no internet issue I am able to use wifi on my phone. This suggests to me that it has nothing to do with my ISP modem but will check its model and get back on this thread when I can.
At this point I am close to RMA as I do not expect these issues from a £1500 mesh system and my GF is very frustrated by it. Any suggestions on a fix would be appreciated.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Be sure your Adapter drivers are up to date.
What brand and model# is the WiFI adapter in the laptops.
If other devices work and the Windows laptops have problems, this would suggest that maybe this has nothing to do with the Orbi system and the laptops not roaming correctly.
Is the separate 6Ghz SSID broadcast enabled or disabled?

Modem : Calix Gigapoint 801Gv2
Not sure on the ft^2 but it should be big enough, 5 double bedrooms, 2 reception rooms, dining room, kitchen and conservatory.
It is an old house so brick walls throughout 3 of the bedrooms and downstairs. RBR is upstairs in an office connected to modem by 1m Cat 6 cable, I then have the RBR connected to a TP-Link TL-SG108-M2 8-Port 2.5G Multi-Gigabit Desktop Switch located in the space under the stairs by 15m Cat6 cable. I have RBS1 in main sitting room connected to the switch with a 8m Cat 6 cable, with TV and other ethernet devices connected to it. The RBS2 was disconnected (off) based on earlier comments it did seem to make it more stable when moving around the house but issue remained. I now have it connected by wireless at the back of the property ~6m (and 2 walls) from RBS1 and 10m from RBR upstairs and so far it seems to manage better when moving around the house plus I get coverage in the garden where it was sorely missed.
Anyway, the internet disconnections tend to mostly happen when resuming windows from sleep/standby but also on movement and mid use (which is the most frustrating). To reconnect I need to either disable/enable my network cards or more reliably restart the laptop/router. This issue is experienced on at least 4 windows devices (3x Windows 10 and 1x Win 11) and it does not affect all machines at the same time but occurs upwards of 5-6 times a day. I have not noticed it on other wifi devices (aquarium equipment) and TV box but that is not to say they're not experiencing it. Until recently we had no issues on our Android devices but on 2 occasions recently I have been unable to connect to the wifi (on any device) as it says the network password is incorrect and the only resolution is to powercycle the RBR, this may be a separate issue?
The wifi adapter in my current machine is a Realtek RL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe adapter, with latest drivers, not sure on the others right now but drivers are up to date. I had no issues with my previous mesh network from a different manufacturer and I would expect the same here. These issues are not caused by my machines but by the ORBI as I would expect it to work the same as my 3 year old mesh system (with the same internet).
The 'Enable 6Ghz Only Network' is deselected.
Potentially of note is that for my ISP I needed to 'enable VLAN / Bridge setup' and it is set as per the below.
Thanks

If your mobile phones work ok but laptops don't possible there maybe a roaming issue here that some laptops or there wireless cards may not handle or support roaming features. Something you'll need to look into on these LTs.

I did an internet search on this adapter (Realtek RL8822CE 802.11ac) and there are many reports of this device having issues with both roaming and with disconnections or failure to connect after hibernation.
The failure to reconnect after hibernation can be a Power Setting or an adapter setting. The roaming issue is more the capabilities of the device itself (it is pretty old and lacking in terms of specifications).
You also mention the unique property situation you are in - with thick walls - which makes any mesh network (and most non-mesh networks) difficult to stay connected to while moving. With the underpowered network card you mentioned, it would definitely struggle to stay connected.
I am NOT saying that fault may not lie with the Orbi - but the symptoms I see are more a device issue than a router issue. While you may not have had the problem (or had it as much) with an older mesh system, we have no idea what it was - or what changes may have been made hardware/software wise to the devices since you moved to the Orbi.
Maybe give us a bit more information about the devices themselves (operating system, age, brand, etc) so we can narrow our search.
