My RBR750/RBS750 is having it's internet connection start and stop over and over
I am using an RBR750 router connected to three RBS750 satellites. I live in a home with chicken wire / plaster walls so signal doesn't travel well, which is why we have so many satellites. It's wor...

Just got off the phone with Netgear tech support and wanted to share what I learned in case any future people have this issue. They suggested one thing new and it actually appears to be working: use a hard wired connection for each of my satellites. Now I get that some people won't have this as an option but I actually do.
Recapping previous learnings, my system worked fine with just the router. It worked fine with the router and any one of the three satellites. But once I added the second or third satellite, it stopped working. So I tried adding the second and third satellites as wired and they worked. Now I'm going to try and add the first satellite back as wired and see if it remains stable.

Thanks for these questions FURRYe38. I definitely have not tried turning off the satellites and testing just the router alone. I'll do that and let you know what I see.
Do you really think doing a factory reset will be effective? Is there a way to backup all the settings first? I'm skeptical that it would make a difference because no settings changed in between when it worked and when it stopped working. Thoughts?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Who is your ISP?
There should be a modem or a ONT maybe unless you live in a building with others then maybe a switch. What is the CAT# LAN cable between the wall jack and the RBR? CAT6 is recommended.

Ok, I'll back it up, try a factory reset, and get back to you ASAP.

1935 sq ft

2.4 GHz was on Auto and the Netgear person recommended switching to 11 and that did not change anything. 5 GHz is still on 48.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many? From what I can tell with my Wifi Analyzer app, there's one more person who has a mesh network nearby as I see three devices with the same SSID. There's my printer too. So I guess one Wifi neighbor?
Who is your ISP?
Frontier (previously owned by Verizon)

We don't have a modem or anything like that. I have had one in previous residents but there's nothing to restart and our wired Internet has not had any issues.

I'm not sure what CAT it is. It was here before we moved in. We've run CAT6 with all new cable though. There's also no wall jack. It's just a direct cable going from the box attached to the house, under the house, and into one room where we placed the Orbi router.

"There's also no wall jack. It's just a direct cable going from the box attached to the house, under the house, and into one room where we placed the Orbi router." <Would need to find out what this box is that's attached to the house. This maybe a the modem or ONT if your on Fiber.
What happens if you turn OFF The RBS and just run the RBR alone.
Does the front LED turn on PINK if problems are seen?

Just updating you that I powered down all the satellites and for the last hour, everything has been working great. Normally the problem comes back about every ten minutes. I'm going to give it another 4 to 6 hours to see if the issue comes back. If it does not, how would you recommend I go about reconnecting them to avoid this problem from returning?
Also, I've checked previously and none of the RBS or RBR showed that purple / magenta light I've seen in the past. I also don't know much about the box outside. We do have fiber internet but I can learn more if this satellite issue isn't the source.
Thank you so much for sharing your time and expertise.
