Need help on upload speed ORbi Mesh R840
I have ATT giga fiber BGW 210 connected to ORbi RBR840 through IP bypass, ORbi in AP mode. While the download speeds on my iPhone 11 Pro Max are close to 800, the upload even just 1 ft away is 80 - 1...
Try tesing with a different wireless device...
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
Thanks for replying. I have tried the same with my M1 IPad Pro but the same UPLOAD speed even from a foot away - 80-90 MBs. The download is 800 + but upload really sucks. The satellite is < 30 ft away from the router and is wired but the best upload speed has been about 100 or so less than a feet away from the router.
Try speed testing with the RBS turned off to ensure your devices are connecting at the RBR.
Check the connection rate between the RBR and your ISP modem as well.
Under Advanced Tab/Show stats button...
Might try a factory reset on the RBR as well...
Have done all that but upload is really weak compared to download. I have reset and set up the system from scratch several times but that has not improved my upload; one thing I have not checked if it is different in router mode vs AP mode, which is what I have currently set but I doubt it. Is there anything in the statistics or any logs that could point an issue?
Ya, Orbi doesn't offer much in logging of diagnostics.
Please give AP mode a try as well...
