Need to Disable BackHaul on one RBR850

Should say too, when I had all the devices on the one Router, I get random wireless Drop outs on devices hence why I was splitting them when I read somewhere the RBR850 can only handle around 120 Wireless Devices, had a spare RBR from a sail with a satellite that was cheaper then buying a satellite so tried to use it.

I ran into the same issue with my RBE970/971 when I tried to use a 2nd router as an AP. You used to be able to do it, not anymore. It caused way to many issues. Could be the firmware change trickled down to the RBK850 series.

It would be really helpful to know more about

• how these Orbi units are connected to each other.
  • The RBR850 that is in AP mode is 'wired' to something using its WAN port.  What is it wired to?
  • How are the satellites connected? ('wired' or using the default WiFi?)
• The WiFi SSID being used by these two routers is
  • The same SSID? or
  • Different SSIDs?

It is physically impossible to "disable" the WiFi backhaul of an Orbi router.  That feature is what makes it an Orbi WiFi router.  (Well, you could open the case and cut the wires to the four backhaul antennas, but really???)

When RBS850 satellites are paired to an RBR850 router, they do not "swap" to other routers.  The backhaul channels have different SSIDs/passwords.  Just can't happen.
