Need to reboot after a power outage - Satellites sometimes don't connect and display hidden SSID's.
Hi, I have an RBRE960 and two RBSE960 Satellites, with Satellites connected via ethernet backhaul to the RBRE. They are running V7.2.6.31 and for the most part are running well and stable, however ...

Been many posts about FW v.31 not working well for users or user experiencing odd issues. Last good known stable FW to date was v.21.
How are the RBS ethernet connected to the RBR? Directly behind the RBR or is there a LAN switch or LAN patch panel in between them? If a switch, brand and model# please.

thanks for the reply, the RBS's are connected direct and not through a lan switch. There are lan switches in my network but not in between the RBR and RBS's. I just seen a new firmware come out, I will wait and try that rather then downgrading and test out a simulated power outage. will provide feedback from that.

I recommend after updating FW, RBS first, the RBR lastly, factory reset and setup from scratch.

Any progress on this?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this, always tricky to schedule downtime in the house hold. I did some further testing on this, and the main issue of sats disconnecting looks like its working after the recent firmware however an issue still happens where the router won't recover the internet connection after a power cycle if my service provider is not up and running when the router finishes its restart procedure. I could also simulate this with turning my providers network off and leaving it for around 30 mins or so, turning it back on and the router would not recover the internet connection. RE-boot the router and all is fine, I tested this with a previous router I had - TPLink and it recovered the internet connection just fine in these different scenarios which suggests my provider's equipment is OK. in the RBRE connections screen, it showed a message "waiting for internet" on the main status page when in this situation, but never recovered an internet connection. I dont have a fixed external IP from my provider so wondering if that has something to do with it, however I rarely see that change.
In terms of the recent firmware upgrade, this has been very stable and no other issues I have encountered, sats remain very stable and connected via backhaul.
Thank you.
