Thank you both on possible work arounds. It's ashame that there just isn't an option to turn of the 5Ghz so you could pair the IoT device on 2,4Ghz and then click to activate 5Ghz again.
That can't be so difficult for Netgear to inplement?
Just on one of the work around steps "connecting the IoT hub". Most of my devices don't have a own hub. It's just devices that should connect directly to the Orbi router.

Since 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz are on the same network, you'd think the IoT mfrs would make there setup software work on phones and pads that are dual band supporting. That can't be so difficult for IoT Mfrs to inplement?
