30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Not sure on the model number for my ONT but its Verizon Fios gigabit.
I have a ~2400 sq ft home but the problem really is its a townhome as is 3 floors so the plan is basically a single device per floor.
Would be something you may want to try with the Orbi AX system, find a place that has a good refund policy and take one for a demo ride and see how it works for you.
