Netgear RBR750 lots of devices reconnecting or with poor connection
I recently upgraded from RBR350 to RBR750. I was having speed issues due to too many devices on the RBR350.
My setup is like this: I have a 3 floor house with concrete floors and walls.
- The router is in the living room (back of the house - ground floor).
- I have one satellite attached wirelessly about 25 feet from the router on the ground floor with walls (no concrete) and stairs in between.
- The second satellite is attached by wire on the first floor - This is maybe only 20 feet, but there is concrete in the way.
- The third satellite is attached by wire on the 2nd floor - More than 30 feet from the router with 2 concrete floors in between.
Firmware is up to date: V4.6.5.14
I have 43 devices connecting to Orbi
No settings were changed aside from disabling Armor, setting some ports to forward and the SSID/Password for WIFI.
Most of my devices all connect to the router and not the satellite. This includes phones, TVs, tablets, Google Home, other smart home devices. This causes the Google Home devices and TVs to often times lose connection to the network or have poor connectivity.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Some additional information would be helpful.
- When these devices that are connected to the router (instead of a satellite which it appears you think would be more reasonable) are powered off (really "off" - i.e. unplugged) and then powered up again, where do they connect?
- When a phone or tablet is carried around the building, does it switch connections from one access point to another?
(Note that it takes several minutes for the Orbi Attached Devices web page or Connected Devices display on the Orbi 'app' to respond to changes. My test was to load the Orbi Attached Devices page on a tablet (bigger screen), then walk downstairs to be near a satellite and wait to see the Attached Devices screen update with the new location. Sometimes takes several minutes.)
Not having a 750 myself, I have not paid super close attention to the posts describing firmware V4.6.7.5 which has become available, but is not yet officially released.
There are now 186 messages in that discussion. (oh, my. quite a bit to wade through) Perhaps that discussion may shed light on your situation (or not).
If your network situation is unacceptable, you might want to consider trying that firmware. You can always "go back" if it doesn't help.

I did unplug all my Google Homes and left them unplugged for a few minutes. When they came back online they went to the right satellite, but switched back to the router after some time. Some did stick though on the correct router after unplugging, plugging back in a few times.
My phone does switch to the correct satellite, but then switches to a different satellite or back to the router as I move around the house. I have a newer phone, OnePlus 9 Pro (Android).
I will have a look at this new FW and read through the comments and see what others have to say.
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
https://kb.netgear.com/31029/Where-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite 📡Also try turning down the power output of the RBRs wifi radios from 100% to 50% and see if this changes anything. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
