WOW, this morning about 2am i decided to update my two ORBI RBS satillites first. and that went ok, till a fantom ORBI showed up in my Orbi App. i then proceeded to update the RBR750, that went well till it said it was online but it wasnt. i followed the directions according to Furrye38, (ty) and i unplugged the sats and then the router, waited 2-3 minutes then i plugged in the router and then the sats and waited........it took a few minutes and the router came online then the sats followed. it still took some time for all my devices to get back on line (about 60), which is normal thing that has been happening. then today was the test. we had some heavy thunderstorms roll in, these south florida storms alway knock out some power or damages some weak transformers to were the power goes on and off real quick. it happened 3 times in a half hour i also have the comcast modem and the RBR750 plugged into a surge and battery back up. the weakest like here is the sats, no battery-back up for them and they used to take forever to re-sync but after the upgraded firmware last night, WOW, the ORBI's came right back online which shocked me, i thought i would need to reboot the sats. but no input from me and the whole system came back online quick. i am no IT guy here but this is a major inprovement from the previous firmware that almost killed the ORBI system. thanks to all here on this forum, i have learned alot from here.

On my router (rbr750) I have the v4.6.5.14. But on my satellite (rbs750) it shows v4.6.3.16. It seems to be working fine for now, just curious if it’s wrong. I took off the second satellite because it seemed to be too close, and that might be the connectivity issue. I will update as I go along.

I recommend if the RBS is working, leave it for now. Normally RBR and RBS FW should be on the same version. However with the v4 FW messing up some users systems, all we can do is try to help keep systems stable for now until NG comes out with a good fix for those effected. So if yours is working, I'd leave it for now.

I will update as I go along.I updated the the day before yesterday and ended up in the same situation. Router on current FM but RBS's stuck on previous FM. Seemed ok at first but then yesterday is started playing up with various devices losing connection. Decided to manually update the 2 RBS I have (one at a time though!) in hope that it sorted the issue and has so far been very stable since. It's only been a day though so I'll see how it goes.
A lot of the issues reported here seem to involve wired connections bwteen RBR and RBS but my setup is simple. RBR connected to ISP modem. Set to router mode and wirelessly connected to the 2 RBS. No other equipment involed.

Though hilariously, it hasn't stopped the blue light on the RBS's coming on randomly.
- 225dougDec 06, 2021AspirantUpdate on my system. Really bad connection the other day so I had to reboot/unplug hookup everything again. Got in touch with net gear support for free and magically the satellite firmware update was available that matched the router. 4.6.3.14. Uploaded and rebooted and thing s ran well, however my connection gets dropped from time to time, except when I was In the room right next to the router. I get full cable speed (200/30) and things are livable for now. I just need to do some more tweaking. Something about increasing mtu channel changes and whatever the guy was talking about. I lost my connection while I was at work. LOL

Glad you got the RBS updated. You can always manually update RBS FW as well:
If your still having some minor issues, try disabling AX mode on the RBR for 2.4Ghz. Set CTS values to 2347. Set 40Mhz only channel width. Preamble to Long. Has helped some for others.
