Firmware Update Instructions:

To update your product’s firmware, follow the instructions in your product’s user manual.

To find your user manual, visit https://www.netgear.com/support/, enter your model number in the search box, and click the Documentation button on the product page.

If you manually update, be sure to update the RBS first, then RBR lastly.

NOTE:  Update the RBS first, then the RBR lastly. After the FW files are loaded and the RBS and RBR are ready, power OFF the RBS and RBR for 2 minutes then back ON.

Unplug the power adapters from the power wall outlet.

A factory reset maybe needed if problems are encountered:

  • Hi again,

i got one more question (have not installed the update on my RBK753, yet – will try next weekend):

Is it possible now to run WPA2 and WPA3 in parallel? Afaik, the official firmware had the limitation that it was not possible.

    Thanks and best regards.

Thanks for replying. I am confused, because the Orbi iOS app uses checkboxes (see attached screenshot – sorry it's in german, at the bottom it just mentions that WPA3 is only supported when using 6 GHz).

      Best regards.

I can see the screenshot now even if i am logged out. Guess the admins had to approve it first.

I ran mine with v.5 loaded and Guest Network enabled. I haven't seen any issues. Only had a couple devices connected. I have not seen any problems with GN with mine.

Oh good. Can't wait for the stable version release then! I assume you had GN issues in the older versions too.

  • Anyone have insight when 4.6.7.5 will be released? The 8 series was released in January. Seems the series 7 should not be taking this long!

v.5 was a pre-release and may to go public. Since then v.13 was released for the 8 Series and maybe seen for the 7 series as well though we don't know if or when that may happen.

  • I just checked the official support page for the RBK753 and 4.6.7.13 is finally released. I will give it a try immediately.

Interesting, I only see 4.6.7.13 - what link did you use?

I'm sorry, that was a typo. The major version is still 4. The release version is 4.6.7.13.
