Once thats is all set up, turn OFF the new system. Place the new RBR near the out going RBR. Turn OFF all out going RBSs. Reboot the ISP modem or power cycle it OFF for 30 seconds then back ON. Disconnect the out going RBR from the modem/ONT and plug it into the new RBR and power it ON. After the modem is back online and the new RBR is ready and front LED is OFF, power OFF the out going RBR and all of your wifi devices should auto connect to the new RBR. Power ON the new RBS.
I really appreciate your response.....Sorry.... a bit confused.
I have already disconnected the " outgoing" ( I assume your mean the one I am replacing) orbi set up to replace it with the new one. But in your scenario it is still up and running. Wouldn't just changing the ssid/password in the new set up to what is already set in the old orbi system get everything connected?

Yes. If the new system is already on line, then set up the SSID name and password as before.

It’s going back and I’ll look for a second satellite for my 860 system for outside.

The Orbi 770 will be "faster" than the 860 only for devices capable of WiFi7. Which WiFi7 devices were used to compare the speed of the 770 vs. the 860?
What is the speed of the ISP connection?

Both are laptops have wifi 7.... but oddly the connection off a 770 satellite was high 400's....the 860 gives me high 500's into 6's on a good day. Our ISP connection is about 2400. Connected directly to the orbi router with a dsl cable my desktop gives about 945GB.
