FYI, for a 2000sq ft home. the RBR would only be needed. Maybe one RBS placed at 30feet or more and the power on the RBR turned down to 25%. That size of home and having two RBS place would be too much wifi and maybe the cause of what your seeing. Too Much Wifi: https://youtu.be/UR0viMLISz4

 

I have a 5000sq ft home and run two RBS and power is at 50-25%. However I don't have same device count either. No issues seen over long periods of time.

This would be very easy to verify be simply taking the Satellites offline altogether.  My house is probably between 2K and 3K sq-ft, but it's 3 levels. So, things on the top floor can't easily connect at decent speeds to things in the basement - too many walls and floors.  And then there's a large deck in the back that I like to have WiFi when I'm out there - the exterior wall is a serious barrier!  And some of the Nest cams are also outside.  That said, even the 960 by itself is much better than WIFI routers from a few years ago, so taking the Sats out of the equation altogether would not be too painful and would easily put this potential problem to bed or not - something I plan to try soon, although using only one Sat hasn't helped me at all so far.

I do get where @FURRYe38 is coming from though.  I have to believe that some or even many people are using the Orbi 960 system with good results and the rest of us would love to know how they are doing that.  So it makes sense to look at the details of the configurations of people who are having issues to compare them to those who don't. This may or may not help but has to be done to eliminate variables.
