thank you for your reply! Answers to your questions as follows:
FW version is: V6.0.3.85_3.1.15
Modem connected is an ISP provided (Vodafone) fritzbox (German standard model that also worked flawlessly with my old Asus)
No lights on Router or Satellites, all good.
Wired backhaul to one satellite, other via wifi. Both appear as "internet connection GOOD" in the status.
Wireless connection between router and satellite is >10 m
Using channels 3,44 and 69. There is no "auto" channel function on the 5ghz and 6 ghz band.
500 sqm
Yes, lots of neighbours nearby, but scanned the channels, none using the above channels.

IS there a built in router at the modem by chance have built in router?
What is the connection rate supported on the Modem WAN port? 1Gb?
What CAT# LAN cable are you using between the modem and RBR?
What is the distance between the wired RBS and the RBR?
I would use channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4GHz. Not channel 3.
- there is a built in router in the modem, which however is deactivated. also the LAN port is set to bridge mode, so no double IP issues
- 1 GB WAN port on the modem
- CAT6 1 GB/s LAN cable
-distance between RBR and wired RBS is approx.8m including a brick wall
- I have switched 2,.4 Ghz channel mode to Auto, and the RBR has chosen channel 9
