Orbi 750 no internet
Got a orbi 750 that will not connect to the internet. I power cycle it and even reset it with no success. Add my isp manually to the configuration with no success either. Went to connection status ...
Correct. I have restarted both the modem and router. I tried both settings, as default on your picture and also entering the isp info with no success. It was working for quite a while now until this morning. So I'm not sure what changed or happened.
So, it is working, just won't get a WAN connection from your modem. But your Nighthawk does. Doesn't sound good. Long shot things to try:
- try another port on the back of the Orbi (are there any lights on your modem ethernet ports to indicate a connection? I know the Orbi has none)
- maybe change the MAC address to something custom on that Orbi Internet Setup Page in case the ISP has somehow locked out the Orbi. I have never tried this though and have no idea of the consequences. If it doesn't work and you cannot reconnect, you may have to reset the Orbi.
- or call your ISP and see if they have any idea or take a look at the modem to see if there are any logs it creates that might give you some idea of what is happening.
- could be a defective Orbi but seems like if that were the case it would be much more dead.
