Orbi 760 satellite with ethernet backhaul does't sync guest network settings (main network is fine)
Hello community, need support here: I faced with the same issue as mentioned in the another post: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-WIFI-6-AX-AND-Wi-Fi-6E-AXE/Orbi-760-and-likely-others-sate...

Does Guest Network work with ethernet connected RBS if you put the RBR in router mode?
How are the RBS ethernet connected to the RBR? Any LAN switches in between the RBR and RBS by chance? If so, brand and model of this switch please.
What CAT# LAN cable is used between the RBR and RBS? CAT6 is recommended.
Any updates for your older post here?

FURRYe38, thanks for your reply! Here below my comments:

So I did several tests yesterday and confirmed that in Router Mode Guest Network on the Satellite works well.

RBR connected with RBS via TP-Link TL-SG116 switch as follows:
During my tests in Router Mode and then in AP Mode I understood that issue with Guest Network on the Satellite only occurs when RBR (in AP Mode) connected to the switch via Enternet port (marked with yellow).
In case RBR (in AP Mode) connected to the switch via one of its LAN ports - Guest Network on the Satellite works well. Only RBR's ring LED indicates "Solid Magenta", what means "Your Orbi has no Internet connection" and also it occupies one LAN port:

This should be okay, as previous tests helped to locate the issue.
As per "Any updates for your older post here?" - that wasn't my post, I just found exactly the same issue already posted here before creating my post. But seems issue is absolutely the same.
Would it be possible to have addressed and fixed in the new FW version?
Thanks!

Does the GN work if you directly connect the RBS to the RBR while using the RBRs WAN port to connect to the host router, with out the switch in the mix?
Not the same user for that older linked post?

FURRYe38, as per your questions:

Sorry, didn't get it. In case RBRs WAN port connected to the host router means in order to connect RBS directly to the RBR I need to use RBR's LAN-ports for direct connection. Yes, that works. That works fine with and without switch.
- Not the same user for that older linked post?
Absolutely not. 🙂

So with out the switch in the mix, Guest network works with the RBS directly connected to the back of the RBR?
If so, then the switch would be causing the problem when connected between the RBR and RBS.
