I would print out documentation of the interaction with Netgear support and take the system back to Best Buy.
Best Buy has to deal with a frustrated customer in their face and the manager may decide it is better to have a happy customer, especially if you spend the money on something else that they sell.
In the Old Days, customers would write letters to the company president and hope that person would send down a directive, "Make this problem go away."

I would try another. You may have had a bad unit out of the box.
- BloniarzMar 10, 2022AspirantI did o got the RBKE960 but now o have a different problem. The unit is dropping internet service with the Xfinity router set to the bridge mode.
CTS is set to 2347 Domain server set use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Channel set Auto, 48,101. I have latest firmware. Domain and password personal settings Rest is set to factory original settings.
All works great in double router mode.
As soon as I turn on the bridge mode on the Xfinity router my interned starts dropping. Loose connection to all devices as well as the application message under the internet block under basic starts shifting from good, waiting to error/no internet.
Any recommendations?
