Thanks Mikey94025 . Yes it does say that 100 .. instead of 1000. I tried a different cable but same issue. Should i go back to Netgear support and tell them that ?? If its an issue with the port and Netgear's claimed warranty is 2 years.. do i still have to pay to talk to support ?? I bought this Router around 6 months ago.
Also a quick question.. with this forum.. is it possible to interact straight from emails or do i have to login each time to the forum ?

I would talk to Netgear and try to get your product replaced under warranty if your hardware is defective (due to the network port). This is not the same as a tech support request, which is only given for the first 90 days.
This seems to be how to request warranty replacement (RMA): https://kb.netgear.com/1162/How-can-I-get-a-Return-Material-Authorization
However, before doing so verify how long your product's warranty is. There is a tool here: https://kb.netgear.com/12171/Is-my-NETGEAR-product-under-warranty. According to this page, the RBR850 warranty is one year (not 2 years), but you're still okay if you bought it 6 months ago: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/rbr850.aspx#ProductWarranty_CommonTopics. You may also consider returning to your original place of purchase, if that is also an option provided by them (some vendors like Costco are very good with that).
