Orbi 852 2 pack - poor wifi
Hello folks -
Have been looking at this forum all weekend trying to figure out why my wifi or even hard wired connection to my RBK852 satellite is so slow. I've Verizon Fios with it's latest G3 router with gigabit internet (about 940 Megs in practice.) I had nest wifi which only gave me only around 300 Megs tops. So I paid a premium $750 for this router (
AX6000 WiFi Mesh System (RBK852) Orbi Tri-Band WiFi 6 Mesh System, 6Gbps, Router + 1 Satellite) but it's not much better.
The issue is with the satellite I'm only getiing about 100 Megs even with hard wired. My house is about 2500 sq ft. Satellite is placed about 40 ft away. It does show blue led but speeds are horrible. Please help.

Make sure your cables are not cat5, but at least cat5e.
Also there are a few settings you may want to change:
Under Advanced Home wireless settings, make sure you enable both AX settings and choose less busy WIFI channels. For me it was 1 and 48.
Under Advanced / Advanced / Wireless settings uncheck enable 20/40 Mhz Coexistance and enable WMM. I have my CTS/RTS threshold set to 1500, but I don't really see a difference leaving it default.
I've never had it active, but I've hear activating Armor can slow the system down.
