Orbi 853 not working properly: connection drops - horrible in AP mode - satellite not syncing
I have a Cisco router (has no WiFi) and 3 Apple AirPort devices. I ordered an Orbi 853 to replace my AirPorts. My Cisco is the router and the AirPorts are in bridged mode. I have tried for 9 hours non stop to get the Orbi to work the same way; it just doesn't work.
I gave the RBR853 a static IP and put it in AP mode (just like my AirPort). One satellite I got connected wired. The second satellite has to be connected wireless but I can't get it to sync, no matter what I try. To make matters worse the RBR853 regularly drops his internet connection. After hours and hours of retrying, resetting and reconfiguring I simply gave up. The Orbi will be returned, I'm just fed up with it.
I reinstalled my 3 Apple AirPort in just 2 minutes and everything works fine. Sadly the Netgear Orbi ruined my evening and night (9 hours of non stop fiddling to try to get it to work) and it was a complete dissapointment.
I even tried on the latest firmware but no luck. So I can only come to the conclusion to return it and ask for a refund.
What is wrong with this product?

Today I retried and reset the Orbi put it in AP and didn't gave at a static IP and it seems to be working. After reading a lot of posts I found this one to be a good tip: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-WIFI-6-AX-AND-Wi-Fi-6E-AXE/Ethernet-Backhaul-on-AX6000-RBK854/td-p/2166670
So I managed to get the RBR working with 2 satellites, but ran in to another problem which I describe here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-WIFI-6-AX-AND-Wi-Fi-6E-AXE/RBS850-wired-satellite-not-showing-up-on-Attached-Devices/td-p/2351681
One has to be patient with the Netgear Orbi in comparison with the Apple AirPort...
