Orbi 860 ssid iot or 850
hello i wanted to know if those models have the ssid iot feature ? and wich is better to buy in term of update futurproof etc. (860 is from 2023 and the other from 2020) than you !

I've not had the 860 series to test with, only the 850 series. I think the only difference was the WAN port, the 860 series has a 10Gb WAN port where the 850 has a 2.5Gb speed on the WAN port. I think everything else was the same. Something you can check out between each model spec sheet to see.

I agree. The only significant difference appears to be incorporating a 10G WAN port on the 860 to replace the 2.5G WAN port on the 850. Both systems have the same Qualcomm IPQ8074A processor. Same RAM. Same storage.

The 860 Product Data Sheet makes a vague reference to "new antenna design" on the 860. They do not look much different from the 850 antennas on the FCC submission internal photos:

thank you for your annswers guys. I still hesitate tho... the 850 is "old" and yet still expensive but could do the job but i dont know how many time.. the 960 worse in price im not sure and the 770 im afraid to try another model and having issues with it again (had to return it).... the 760 was reallyyy fine but didnt had the iot ssid...

5 years old for the 850 is not old. Just mature. And stable on v.21 FW.
