Hello all, I’ve been investigating the device disconnect issues that many users have reported on this forum. After extensive testing of various wireless settings, I believe I’ve identified the...

I have now managed to get round to testing this, and I can confirm that "Firmware Version 7.2.7.15" has fixed this issue for me.

Does anyone know if Netgear uses different hardware revisions for the Orbi 960? I’m wondering if slight hardware differences could be contributing to this issue.
(As far as I can discover...) Netgear does not publish which WiFi chip is being used in each product. My notes are that the 960 uses the Qualcomm Pro 1610:
All three radio frequencies come from the same hardware component.
Could you describe how this phenomenon was observed and recorded?

Hi CrimpOn
Thanks for the info regarding the hardware.
I observed this issue by connecting to each band separately, and saw that the disconnects were not happening on the 2.4GHz network but were happening on both the 5GHz and 6GHz networks, I then used a wifi scanner to monitor the bands when the issue happened and could see the bands would disappear at the time of disconnect.
Regards,
Liam

Hi,
FURRYe38 I have now made contact with netgear support, I will let you know how it goes.
CrimpOn I use the netspot app, but like you said it doesn’t keep the history for that long.
Regards,
Liam
