Orbi 960 and satellites...devices seem to be on the router only
On my old BT Whole Ho,e , you could see what devices were connected to each disc and if one device had reconnected to a disc further away you could refresh and it would reconnect to the nearest one a...

So the IP Cameras are connecting ok now, but it would appear I have devices connected that are not showing up one example is an IP camera that is definitely on the wireless network because it is transmitting pictures but its IP is not showing up in the connected devices either on the app or in the web interface....is this normal, seems scary that devices are connected but not showing
I have the latest firmware installed v6.37.10
thanks

Can you see that IP address on the cameras app and then compare it to anything in the RBRs web page?
I should show up.

Thanks for the reply, sorry I have been off grid for a couple of days, that seems to be sorted now, they just take a long time to appear
But something else is bothering me now I have a media centre PC and a NAS Drive which connect to a switch by cat5 and then to a Orbi Satellite again these are on the network and can be accessed by another PC but they are not showing in the attached devices
I just dont get why they would not show...they have been connected for at least 2 hours
Any thoughts please

NOt sure. Could be anything, system related, getting information from devices is problematic and takes longer time. Settling in time. Not sure.
If it's working, Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

ok thanks, disappointing I changed from a £400 BT Whole home which the minute you connected either by wifi or cat5 it showed straight away plus you could point a device to the strongest access disc which you cant seem to do with this system
for example I have an IP camera 10ft away from a Satellite and it connects to the router 30ft away...
oh well £1,300 paying for what I thought was the best seems stupid now ;-(

Return it if you feel the need.

Thanks for the reply but I have invested loads of time reconfiguring my network and I have already sold my 5 BT Whole Home discs plus I bought new off ebay and if its working as it should...
I have open a ticket with Netgear support to if they can explain\fix why a device that is clearly plugged in and been given an IP by the ORBI does not show up, if its only devices that are connected by WIFI and plugged directly into the Router\Satellite that show up then I guess I'll have to live with that
"I feel the need, the need for speed" 😉 which is why I changed in the first place 😉

Theres a beta FW thats currently being tested. Hopefully when this gets released, things may improve. Don't know when that will be. Can only speculate in next couple of months.
- Nobber1066Aug 11, 2023AspirantOk so i have a new bt hub and its set up in bridging mode can anyone advise on the internet settings for the orbi
At the moment i have set to get ip dynamically from BT but that doesnt work - FURRYe38Aug 11, 2023Guru - Experienced User
Ask the ISP if there is a specifc configuration needed on the RBR. Some may need a static or PPPoE configuration.
