Orbi 960 slow & intermittent connection
Hello, I have been using an Orbi 960 system running V7.2.6.31_5.0.24 with accompanying RBSE 960 satellites for a year now. When I first purchased the system, I noticed a number of devices were havi...

Which devices are having slow or intermittent connections?
Be sure they are connecting to nearest RBS and not connecting to a farther signal point. Disable the devices radio if possible for 5 seconds then re-enable while nearest the closer RBS.

Most of my devices from phones to laptops to cameras are having problems. Majority are connected to the right satellite, not all of them are. Sometimes, they’ll switch to the correct one.
And as I previously stated, even if I remove all satellites, I still get poor speeds in areas of the house where I have a “strong” connection showing on the device.
I have a Ring camera and two laptops basically next to where my router is placed, and I still have intermittent speeds on both. And that’s with or without the additional satellites.

I see you have a XF Gateway? If so, how is this configured?
Have you tested with the Orbi system turned OFF and the wifi on the gateway enabled and tested here?
For ISP gateways, Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.

Try option #2 first...Then try option #3 as well.
If you have any close friends or family members, you might take the Orbi sytem to there location and setup and see if problem follows. Would be telling if it did...or did not.
