Orbi AX RBK753 Router Placement
I have read a huge number of the community posts on placement of the Orbi Router and Satellite(s) for a mesh-system. I am upgrading from the AC3000 RBR50/RBS50 to the RBK753 AX4200, 1 router, 2 satellites.
I've read a number suggestions to not place the router in a basement, my current system has the router in the basement and the satellite on the main floor, which seems to have worked well. My home has a large basement of 1,900 sq ft and the main floor at 3,300 sq ft. Being that I need additional coverage across the main floor I am adding the addition of a second satellite with the new RBK753.
My thinking is to now place the router on the main floor located in the mid to center of the house, one satellite in the basement (left side of house) and the other satellite on the main floor to the far right side. The placement between the basement and router is 30+ feet, the distance to the second satellite on the main floor (right) will be at least 50 feet away.
My question is does the new AX systems work as a star or daisy-chain connection? Based on the placement of the router and 2 satellites, I just want to get the best coverage that I can and mainly was concerned about the placement of the router.

My question is does the new AX systems work as a star or daisy-chain connection? Works in either formation. Just placement is key. Orbi AX auto sets Daisy chain if placement is out in a line and you turn on the RBR, the RBS in sequence.

Thanks for the input. After posted this I got to thinking that I have my Mac computer, 2 NAS devices, and a Lutron Hub, SmartThings Hub and 2 Apple TVs all connected via ethernet in my basement, where currently the router is located. If I am getting good connection to the satellite on the main level, do you think when I upgrade to include the second satellite I'd still be good with this arrangement? The reason I asked the question was beucase I am sure the second satellite would have to connect in a daisy-chain due to the distance it would be from the router with my current scenario?
Anyting is possible.
30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
