Orbi AX RBR850 AP Mode Cisco Switch Network Loop
I have an Orbi AX RBR850 that was in AP mode for a very long time and things worked well until a few weeks ago. Nothing on my home network changed but all of a sudden the RBR850 kept dropping wifi ...

Orbi directly connected to router works fine. Problem is with the the Orbi and the switch.
No wifi nearby.
Using Cat7 everywhere.
Tried factory reset multiple times, left power over 5+ minutes both times.

I would try a different LAN switch. Possible that this switch is causing problems if the RBR works with out it in the middle.
IF there are any FW updates for that switch, try that.
Check to see if there is any "Green Ethernet" features on that switch as well, if there is, disable that.
NG GS-105/108v4, D-Link DGS-105/108 and HP ProCurve 1400/1800 series switches work for Orbi systems.

This is not helpful advice. As I mentioned above, everything was working well for MONTHS with the Cisco switch until the Orbi started disconnecting and creating a loop. The switch worked fine for a very long time and the only thing that changed was the Orbi's behavior. There are also no "green ethernet" features on this switch.

The FW has serious issues, and with a high likelyhood screwing your Orbi system up. These bots wants you to spend hours and hours troubleshooting, and still not mentioning the high risk that you are affected by severe FW issues.

Yea i think it's actually creating a network loop when in bridge mode. When the Orbi (in AP mode) comes up while connected to the Cisco switch and begins to establish link, ALL ports on the Cisco switch lose connection temporarily (they all turn yellow) until the Orbi is fully up/connected. Everything comes back in a few seconds, but then afterwards wifi clients can only connect to the Orbi in AP mode for a few seconds before they drop/disassociate.
When I put the Orbi back into router mode without changing any cables it works fine, but now I'm NATted and routed by my Orbi which I do not want (double-NAT from ISP and I can't access hardwired LAN devices)

Have you powered OFF the RBS, disconnected the ethernet cable, powered back ON the RBS, one at a time and let them wirelesslly sync until the front LED turns BLUE, then LED OFF. Then reconnect the ethernet cable back to the RBS, one at a time to see if the problem still appears?
My 8 series running on v16 is working with the afore mentioned branded switches.

Yes, same issue.
