Orbi AX4200 - RBR750, 3 satellites - computers keep disconnecting during video-calls

Hello,

 

as mentioned in the title, the wireless connection from my Orbi System (Orbi AX4200, RBR750 - 3 satellites) keeps breaking up during video calls (happens more often when its a call of multiple people) - no matter if Zoom, MS Teams or Google Hangouts.

 

Happens on a MacBook Pro 2022 with Wifi6, MacOS 12.2.1 as well as on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1, Win10.

 

Anything I could do about it? With all other devices the connection seems to be stable.

    What speeds do you pay for for both upstream and downstream. 

    A lot of people find their downstream speeds are fine but have low upstream. 

    also, many video conference apps (zoom, etc) have a built in speed/quality test. Try running that. 

     

    What modem/gateway are you connected to?

    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

    What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
    What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

    What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
    Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

     

    Try setting CTS values to 2347 Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
