Basements are not recommended places for wifi routers. Main or 1st floor to start would best for the main host router..
30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

The home is about 4000 sq ft with another 1000 in the basement.
The RSR is one one side of the home in the basement. The RSR1 is about the midpoint of the home on the main floor (goes up one level and otherwise about 30-40 feet away). The RSR2 is on the oppositte side of the RSR on the top floor and about 40-50 feet away from the RSR1.
I am going to run an Ethernet wire from my Verizon router to the main floor and see if that helps, plus ordered 2 more satellites to scatter if I still need more unless anyone has other suggestions?

I have a 5000 sq ft home with basement. RBR is up on 2nd level and 1 RBS is on first level and 2nd RBS is in the basement on opposite side from where the RBR is on that side of the home. RBS are all wired here...

Sounds like we have similarly sized homes and our set up completely oppositte from one another except that you have them all wires. My RBR is in the basement (until I run the Ethernet to main floor) because I only have coax runs through the house. I assume you either had or ran Ethernet to connect your satellites to RBR (or daisy chained)?
Running Ethernet to my main level will not be too difficult but it would be very challenging to run it up to the top floor (either from basement or from the Main level RBR that I intend to set up). Hopefully the network will improve and throwing on 2 more satellites will take care of things.

This sounds like a good first step to improve your Orbi network bandwidth. I would not complicate your setup by adding moca adapters to the mix and instead try to leverage the Orbi mesh capability via its satellites (at least before trying other options).

Your 3rd option would be your best bet to get the Orbi router out of the basement.
If you are planning on hardwiring the satellites, they would have to be connected to the router or 1 satellite to router then the other satellite to the 1st satellite.
Adding a satellite may help if your satellites are to far apart or you have a lot of obstructions and interference reducing the signal strength and coverage.

Another thought I just came up with. If you have COAX presently going to the G3100, as your connection to FIOS, and you have a COAX cable coming from the basement area, to the floor you want to move the Orbi to, you could possibly move the G3100 to that level and connect it via the COAX. Then plug your Orbi router into it and setup either a router or AP configuration.
