Truly its more about testing different setups in your own home. When I first purchased a mesh system I moved it around probably every week and tested the speeds to see what worked best in my own home. This is important to try because things in walls (think hvac/foil lined insulation/etc), furniture, and appliances can all impact how the wifi signal propagates.
