Does the front LED on the RBR turn PINK when this happens?

I have my Verizon gateway in my office and that is hard wired to the Orbi router. PC is hard wired to the router also. Then other devices on the network are using wifi off the orbi satellite that is positioned midway thru the house. Too much cable to do hard wiring on everything so chose this option.
So already twice since last night I've had Orbi drop service. I only changed the gateway yesterday evening around 7pm. I have no idea why the Orbi is disconnecting from a hard wired internet connection source. Is there some setting that is causing it to drop. Was literally in the other room and suddenly I check and lost connection. Check the router and it is lit up pink indicating no connection. My Verizon gateway was working just fine it was functioning.
I really cannot determine what is going on here and why I keep losing service. It seems there is something causing the Orbi to disconnect from the Verizon. Is there some setting somewhere I need to change or what might be going on? I've posted something similar on Verizon and Microsoft pages in case it might be my PC or Verizon connection. This happening is far from ideal because if I am out of town then I cannot just reset the connection since I have cameras that need accessibility.

Yes the LED turns pink. So my understanding is that it means it has no connection. Then I end up unplugging the Verizon gateway to reset it.

Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.

Try option #2 first...- mws1984Sep 18, 2024Aspirant
I'll give that option 2 a try. Just doesn't seem ideal that cannot access things on the Orbi app, but guess just would need to switch it back how it was if needed to do anything. Only time will tell if this fixes my issue. Still unsure what the deal is when my computer wakes up it will have a pop up "internet connection restored" I'm not exactly sure what would make it disconnect or why I get that message. It shouldn't be disconnecting at all. Definitely saving this post and the site with instructions so I know what to do if I need to change things back.
- mws1984Sep 18, 2024AspirantThat definitely messed things up. Now my cameras that were linked to my Orbi are no longer connected. I’m guessing since I can’t access anything linked to my Orbi on the app due to the way it’s setup as suggested. Any ideas?

Something is definitely not right. I was out and went to check on cameras at home and they were offline. I check the Verizon gateway and it was also offline. I could not reset it from my Verizon app. Told me to check what colors it was lit. So had to wait til I was home. I get home the gateway still appeared working but the Orbi was lit pink again like it got disconnected. This was all after putting it into the suggested "AP mode" under the advanced settings. I reset the gateway and everything connected back up again. I have no idea what is going on. Getting to be such a hassle to have steady consistent internet.
