Orbi RBK 853 Japan Model in Aus

Afternoon all,
I've been searching the posts regarding my Orbi RBK 853 I bought from Japan to use in Australia. The cables that come with the device were 100-110v and Aus uses 240v system so the cables won't work.

I've found a AC adapter from Ebay that has 100-240V with the aus head on it that supports 12V - 3.5amp which is perfect. The only thing different is the Polarity symbols.

On the Japanese 100-110v cable it has a negative symbol on the left with a positive on the right. The inner symbol is open towards the right side. The aus cables have the positive on the left and negative on the right but the inner circle is open on the left towards the positive still. Does this mean anything or do we just write it backwards here?

Any info on whether these cables work would be amazing. I've attached 2 screenshots. The white being the orbi japan adapter and the black being the new aussie adapter.

Cheers.

  • Yes as long as the voltage specs are the same and the positive pin is the same on both, your fine.
