Hi - Just wanted to say this is precisely what I do (though my wired connection to Sat 2 is using Homeplug and not proper ethernet) and it works very well. I tried a straight daisy chain and find that this method works better for me, perhaps due to the particular configuration of my place but perhaps because one hop to the router is always going to be a bit more efficient that two hops.
