Orbi RBK852 AX6000 | using the Orbi AP as a switch
Hi there
looking for some guidance please.
My current set up is as follows:
Internet -> ISP Modem/Router (WIFI Disabled) -> Orbi RBK852 Router -> Orbi AP / Satellite over wifi
Connected over ethernet to my ISP Modem/Router is my CCTV and alarm system.
My proposed connection: Internet -> ISP Modem/Router (Bridge mode) -> Orbi RBK852 Router -> Orbi AP /Satellite over ethernet.
Connected to my Orbi AP/Satellite over ethernet will be my CCTV box and Alarm.
Basically I'm using my Orbi AP/Satellite as a switch for my CCTV and Alarm system but also as my wifi AP mesh.
Will the proposed config work?

Certainly should work. Once the ISP device is placed into bridge mode, only one device can be connected directy to it. (the Orbi router)

How about my proposed set up to have my CCTV and alarm connect over Ethernet to my Orbi AP/Satellite ? Currently they are connected over Ethernet to my ISP’s modem/router.See no reason why this would not work.
