Orbi RBR 750 ethernet not connecting to mac desktop

Ethernet will not connect on mac desktop. I tried updating the orbi system through the app, resetting it, and using a different cable without success. Status on mac network preferences reads "Cable Unplugged: Either the cable for Ethernet is not plugged in or the device at the other end is not responding."

 

I currently have the LAN-Internet cable running from my Netgear Cable Modem CM1000 to the orbi RBR 750 and then an ethernet cable connecting the orbi to the desktop. 

 

Wifi system is still operational and connected to the desktop but ethernet is preffered.

    What Firmware version is currently loaded?
    What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

     

    So does any of the back LAN ports do anything? 

    Can you check with a different wired device to see if the LAN ports work at all?
